I shared my testimony with a group of 4 women at our women's meeting on Sunday night. It was a valuable opportunity to look back at the blessings, provision, lessons and challenges of my life thus far and to share the highlights. When I felt others would be underwhelmed by the lack of firework displays in my life story, I reminded myself that my testimony is His story after all: the story of God's active work in and through my life and person, and that is always a beautiful thing. It is easier to tell on God than it is to tell on yourself.

Well said! You're a lovely lady.
I love this post. I understand your comment about wondering if people feel "underwhelmed." I'll never forget when I was called up to share about our time on the field in our home church. I was following a missionary who had shared about her family getting caught in a grenade attack in Pakistan.
The sweet older woman who introduced me said, "And now we'll have Susan come up see how she leaves us on the edge of our seats!"
And I thought, are you KIDDING ME??!! That's my intro?? I have to follow THAT?! Yikes!!! =)
But it is so true that whatever God is doing is a beautiful thing. He may not be calling me to leap out of the way of a grenade, but His works are still GOOD.
You are a gem, Julia. I wish I lived closer and we could get together for coffee. =)
